CORCL
The name is a play on the word ‘coracle’. The English, the Welsh and the Scottish all call their similarly-shaped boat, a coracle.

Alesina Design collaborated on this project with Brigham Floats for over a year.
From the first boat concept inspired by the round bamboo boats, our design evolved though rigorous design and development process. Concept prototype testing followed by close collaboration with rotation molding manufacturer and nautical engineer.
Alesina Design provided product design, engineering, ergonomics, 3D modeling and prototyping expertise.
Earlier prototypes were made with wood, bamboo, pool noodles and heavy plastic sheeting
Some prototypes were made with CNC plywood and later foam
